If the employee did not exercise the option to bank days prior to leaving his job than he is out of luck. In order to bank days on the Work Anniversary, an employee must be active and in good standing with his job on the date of his Work Anniversary to Bank a sick day.

Employers have the option to change Membership level upon renewal of their membership. In order to change membership from Full to Associate Member status Employers must fit the criteria for Associate Membership. If so employees who have enjoyed the benefit of full membership and have taken advantage of the option to Bank sick days will keep all banked days in their account. However, as Associate Members employees will no longer have the option of banking sick days.
