Yes, the limit is a maximum of available days . There must be a 30 day washout period between each occurrence.

1. I am on Disability. A. yes as long as you have exhausted all accrued sick time from your employer 2. I am on unemployment A. No, you must be employed by a member Employer to receive benefits 3. I am on any other paid medical leave. A. Yes, as long as you still have benefits with your member employer, have exhausted your employer provided sick time, and have deposited a minimum one sick day, you are eligible for benefits.

Yes, FMLA leave is covered by SickBank however the limits are different. There is a 40 day limit per occurrence and you get paid at 50% of your gross pay rate. There is a 30 day washout period between occurrences. The reason for this is that per FMLA rules the employer is not obligated to pay for FMLA, only to hold your position within the company and medical benefits. You can exhaust your vacation time to supplement your leave however when this runs out SickBank will extend your income during this time of need as long as all FMLA criteria for eligibility are met. FMLA coverage is not our primary focus it is a secondary offering, but we do understand the need to care for loved ones, the coverage of the employee for lost income while ill or injured is our main focus.

No, as most employers offer 3 days for Bereavement Leave. SickBank does not offer any additional days of Bereavement leave for the loss of and immediate family member.

For extended sick leave SickBank will cover up to 20 additional days after the employee exhausts accrued sick time. A washout period of 30 days between occurrence.
